Abstract :
Frequency is one indicator that represents the quality of electric power. The system
frequency describes the balance between the active power (MW) of generation and the
active power (MW) consumed by the load. Based on historical data of disturbances
record in the Timor Grid System, mostly if there is a disturbance in the 70kV BolokMaulafa SUTT two lines simultaneously, it will result in a blackout. This is because the
70kV Bolok-Maulafa SUTT carries 75% of the system load, thus causing the system
frequency balance to not be achieved. In the research that has been done, it was found
that to overcome these problems, a DTT (Direct Transfer Trip) method is needed,
namely a trip command scheme to 2 PLTU units when there is a disturbance in the 70kV
Bolok-Maulafa SUTT two lines simultaneously so that frequency stability can be
maintained and the system doesn?t blackouts.
