Abstract :
PLN's KWh meter is a tool to measure the amount of electricity used by customers and as
a reference for electricity bills that must be paid by customers every month. The recording
of customer meter booths, especially AMR meter customers, uses the Centralized
Automatic Meter Reading (A2MRT) Application. Sometimes there is a problem that AMR
cannot send data to the server or it fails to read. From these problems, tools, methods
and analysis of AMR data read failures are needed so that the causes can be mapped and
followed up quickly and precisely. The tools used are AMICON which functions as a
Centralized AMR system and is implemented in the PLN distribution unit environment.
The research method used is a quantitative method by collecting data from the 2021
AMICON reading results at PT PLN (Persero) UP3 Sumedang. The results obtained, the
cause of the AMR meter failing to read as much as 55.33% due to damage to
communication devices (Modem, Antenna, Simcard, Cable), 4.92% due to damaged
meter equipment, 5.94% due to faulty adapter and 33.81% due to asynchronous AMR
data with DIL AP2T. Abnormalities that occur in the AMR kWh meter include reverse
wiring, unbalanced currents and deviations due to metering equipment damage which
are analyzed using load profile parameters, phasor diagrams and EIS as the basis for
calculating a Supplementary Bill.
