Abstract :
One of the efforts to reduce arrears or delays in paying electricity bills to Automatic
Meter Reading (AMR) customers is to implement a remote shunt trip system. Remote
Shunt Trip is a disconnection and connection system for direct and indirect
measurement AMR customers' electricity, by optimizing the Electronic I/O Meter
feature, done by disconnecting and turning on the customer's electricity remotely
quickly and easily. The procedure for disconnecting and connecting to the remote shunt
trip system is collecting data on customers who have outstanding receivables beyond
the payment period, verifying customer data that has been registered for execution and
monitoring registered customer data to monitor whether or not the customer has been
terminated. or normalization. The author conducted research on this shunt trip system at
PLN UP3 South Bali which had already terminated with a total of 5 customers with
historical payments exceeding the pay period. The results obtained after this remote
disconnection were customers who were often in arrears had made account payments
earlier, the number of customers who were in arrears decreased after this system was
implemented and the rupiah balance in arrears decreased in April by Rp. 1,332,678,919
and in May 2022 by Rp. 944,945. 885 after a remote shunt trip disconnection system.
