Abstract :
Karimunjawa Island is an ocean tourism destination located in the northern part of Central Java with a 2x2.2 MW DPP as the main support for electricity. The electricity demand increased 226% or 2.26 times within 3 years from 2018-2021. The demand is estimated to reach 3.6 MW (1097% or 10.97 times) in 2041. Following RUPTL 2021-2030 to reduce global climate change, including the gradual reduction of this diesel power plant, it is necessary to conduct a study first related to financial and environmental feasibility for the operation of the existing 2x2.2 MW DPP which is integrated with SPP later. The design installed capacity of SPP ? DPP Hybrid is 2 MW, by using the website application www.globalsolaratlas.com, the output photovoltaic is adjusted to the load profile of the local area, which is around 700-1100 kWh/day. The economic calculation of SPP hybrid produces NPV value> 0 which is Rp. 39 billion, BCR > 1 which is 1.42, IRR > 10% which is 15.7%, and PBP < 20 years which is 6.01 years, this indicates that hybrid solar power plant investment is feasible. The use of fuel can be reduced by 25% in the 1st year and 7% in the 20th year as well as CO2, CH4 & N2O exhaust emissions, also decreased by 11% for 20 years.
