Abstract :
The development of information technology and communication is more sophisticated, since supported by the internet media that faciltate the search for information quickly and easily and can be done anywhere and anytime. For example in the means of education or learning at mathematics in the course Numerical Methods. With the multimedia as one as part of information technology, this can help in making an instructional media that can be used as a tool in the form of simulation to facilitate the application process math calculations quickly and accurately. The research metodology used in the design of instrctional media are included in the waterfall model and applied research methods. This intructional media was built with Microsoft Visual Basic 2008 based of multimedia. Because multimedia is the right choice in the design of a simulation application that consist of text, images and animation. With the application of simulation learning media is expected to assist users in understanding and resolve the questions searcher roots of an equation by a secant method.in the Numerical methods courses.
