Abstract :
Vaccination is a form of care for pets. Vaccination can reduce the potential for illness
and death in pets due to viruses or bacteria. Dogs or cats that have been vaccinated have
a stronger immune system than dogs or cats that have not been vaccinated. This happens
because dogs or cats that have been vaccinated form specific antibodies against the
diseases contained in the vaccine (American Veterinary Medical Association, 2021)..
Researchers developed an Android-based pet vaccination monitoring application using
the ICONIX Process method to solve these problems. The ICONIX Process is a minimalist
software design or development method that focuses on the part that lies between the
stages of creating use cases and writing code (Rosenberg &Stephens, 2007). The ICONIX
Process approach is based on use case notation such as the Rational Unified Process
(RUP), but is less complex than RUP generates. The scope of the ICONIX Process is also
narrow and brief like eXtreme Programming (XP), but the ICONIX Process still uses the
analysis and design stages (Rosenberg & Scott, 2001). The application of the Iconix
Process method to the development of the Mora Petshop monitoring application was
