Abstract :
Company officer PT. Tirta Remu is often confused about getting the optimal distance to
the customer's location. From the results of the interview, there is a fairly clear point,
namely the length or delay of the officer because the officer must determine the location
himself with the customer's location, the customer cannot know for sure when the officer
comes to the location. From the 2023 data in January there were 60 customer complaints,
from the data taken by the author with 5 data samples, the location distance between
officers and customers was 18.1 km with an average of 3.62 km, this had a bad impact on
the company's image because of the long waiting time for customers when officers came
to the location. The Haversine method is one of the optimal distance determination
methods because this method calculates the closest distance using two points from google
maps from longitude and latitude. From the results of the calculation, it shows that the
haversine method has a faster impact where from 5 data, savings of 9.82 km can be taken.
Then a system / application is needed that sends data to officers to be able to find the
closest location to the existing event using the Haversine Formula. in this case the
haversine method is suitable to be implemented in the case of PT Tirta Remu when
compared to the existing google maps.
