Abstract :
The checking and maintenance process at UPT Balai Yasa Lahat is an annual
maintenance unit for train cars for 2, 4 and 6 years. This checking process goes through
an assessment in accordance with standard criteria from the ministry of transportation
and also the place of origin of the train carriages. In the process of checking the open
carriages of the UPT Balai Yasa Lahat train to determine the eligibility of the open
carriages of the trains, it is still manual in collecting files, the calculations are manual
which is at risk of errors in processing the eligibility of the train carriages, and also the
employees who are assigned directly to carry out the maintenance checking process are
few and time consuming the delay is short. This study aims to assist the UPT Balai Yasa
Lahat open carriage team in implementing data mining in processing open carriage
feasibility data. This study produces an accuracy rate of 100%. In this research, it can be
seen that the Naïve Bayes algorithm can be used to predict the feasibility of railroad open
carriages, so that it can prevent worker negligence, reduce unexpected cost efficiency
and accidents when in the future cross area.
