Abstract :
The level of acidity (soil pH) is a factor that must be considered in the growth of red chili
plants. The purpose of this research is to produce a prototype of automation technology for
monitoring the effect of acidity level (soil pH) by applying an algorithm. The recording of soil
pH conditions is still done manually which can result in the data that has been recorded being
lost or damaged. So in the absence of records, the pH conditions will be inappropriate and
will affect the absorption of nutrients by plants. If the pH conditions in the plant growth
medium are acidic, then the absorption of nutrients by plants will be hampered which causes
stunted plant growth or becomes stunted. The method that will be used in this study is the
Mamdani Fuzzy inference system method in automating soil acidity levels in real time using
soil acidity sensors to detect soil acidity levels. The results of this study are in the form of a
prototype that functions to read the level of soil acidity when sowing dolomite lime
automatically using a servo. The accuracy results of this prototype produce a Mean Absolute
Percentage Error (MAPE) with an error percentage of 7.2% with an accuracy rate of 92.8%,
Mean Squared Error (MSE) with an error percentage of 0.008%, and Root Mean Squared
Error (RMSE) with an error percentage of 0.087%.
