Abstract :
Tobacco is a plant where the leaves are used as raw material for making cigarettes and
cigars. Before being processed into cigarettes, there is a fermentation process in tobacco
leaves where this process still uses conventional methods to keep the room temperature
and humidity stable. This is what makes tobacco leaves damaged and not getting the
desired quality, need a monitoring and controlling tools to maintain temperature and
humidity with the IoT concept and can be controlled remotely using the Blynk
application. The controlling process applies the Sugeno fuzzy method to control the
speed of the heating, cooling, and misting elements. Test results data at one time the
temperature sensor shows a value of 30.8C, and a temperature measuring instrument
shows a value of 29.3C. Data was taken at 1 time with 12 retrieval times in a day. The
results of data collection are calculated the difference and the error value, then summed
and calculated on average so that an error value of 5.1% is obtained. The comparison
results show that the average error of the temperature sensor is 4.5%, the humidity
sensor is 14.6%, so it can be concluded that the quality of the sensor used can affect the
accuracy of the performance of the supporting devices used and affect the quality of
tobacco produced in the tobacco fermentation process
