Abstract :
Solar energy in Indonesia is quite dominant so that it can be used as a source of energy to generate electricity, one of which is utilizing solar heat and roofs on farms for the construction of PLTS. The average value of solar radiation on farms in Brebes Regency is 4.91 kWh/m2, so it can be used for PLTS. The PLTS system used is off-grid. In calculating the estimated load, one chicken farm requires 16.375 kWh of electrical energy per day, with such a large energy requirement, 14 units of solar panels with a capacity of 310Wp and 18 units of batteries with a capacity of 200 Ah are needed. The performance ratio of this plan reaches 85% and can be said to be feasible to implement. The initial investment in planning this system is Rp. 135,000,000, - with annual operational costs of Rp. 1,350,000, - for 20 years of PLTS life and can return the initial investment capital within 13 years and 3 month of the project's life.
