Abstract :
In the application of solar power plants, photovoltaic modules are used where it is useful
in absorbing solar energy, the photovoltaic module relies on solar energy and converts
it into electrical energy. However, of course in absorbing solar energy can be reduced if
there are pollutant factors on the surface, there are several types of pollutants that stick
will affect the amount of output power from the photovoltaic module, used types of
pollutants include moss, dust and animal waste on the surface of the module. The purpose
of the research is to find out how effective the photovoltaic module is in absorbing solar
energy in the presence of pollutants attached to the surface and to find out how much
output power is produced by clean and polluted photovoltaic modules. With 15 days of
research conducted by recording data directly from the wattmeter used. The results of
the study based on the method used obtained the results of the comparison of the output
power between the polluted photovoltaic module and the clean one, namely the dust?polluted photovoltaic module and the clean photovoltaic module of 0.55, the photovoltaic
module polluted with animal feces and the clean photovoltaic module of 0.52, and the
moss-polluted photovoltaic module and the clean photovoltaic module of 0.16.
