Abstract :
Electrical energy is one of the main needs for society. In the process of distributing
electrical energy to consumers or customers, there is a difference in the value of the
electrical energy distributed to the electrical energy sold. The difference in the amount of
electrical energy is due to energy losses or losses. Energy losses or losses are the loss of
electrical energy that occurs during the process of distributing electrical energy, this value
can be seen from the difference in the value of the electrical energy sent to the value of
the electrical energy received. The location of Detian Feeder is located in an urban area,
so efforts are made to keep the value of energy losses relatively small so as not to result
in a relatively large loss for PT PLN. In this study using quantitative methods and
calculation methods used to calculate the value of energy losses is to use the difference
in energy difference (kWh). Based on the calculation of the difference in energy
difference (kWh) that has been carried out, the value of the energy losses that occurred
during the 2022 period from January to August 2022 is 9,719,376 kWh, with an average
of 1,214,922 kWh and a proportion value of 7.64%. . The results of the calculation of the
energy loss value exceed the standard limit that has been set based on SPLN 72:1987,
which is 5%. Then the method used to reduce the losses is in the form of a method of
solving the load on the feeder to a new feeder, balancing the load on the transformer,
repairing the connection points, managing overloaded transformers, selling as much
energy as possible and implementing P2TL
