Abstract :
Technological advances are currently developing very rapidly and are evidenced
by the many innovations that have been created. One of them is technology that can
operate a tool without having to be in direct physical contact with the tool, namely using
speech recognition capabilities. The spoken voice is recorded in the database and the
system recognizes only the voice recorded in the database. This voice recognition system
feature can be used for various needs, such as Safety and device control can also be used
to adjust the speed of DC motors. The sound can be converted into digital data and used
by microcontrollers to change the input voltage value of the DC motor using the PWM
(pulse width modulation) method and adjust the motor speed using commands. The
design of this tool uses a simple speech recognition sensor as a tool to convert speech into
digital data, an Arduino microcontroller as the main controller, and a DC motor. After
observing the experiment with the experimental quantitative analysis method The results
of the experiment showed that when the condition is slow (pwm 45) it will produce a
voltage of 3.5V with 20.1rpm, when the condition is moderate (pwm 60) it will produce
a voltage of 5.1V with 33rpm, when the condition is fast (pwm 80) it will produce a
voltage of 6.8V with 43.5rpm, when the right condition (pwm 80) will produce a voltage
of 6.8V with 42.9rpm, at the time of the left condition (pwm 80) will produce a voltage
of 6.8V with 43.2rpm. On trial the percentage of success was declared good.
