Abstract :
In the distribution of electric power systems, a good level of service quality is required.
Good voltage supply is a must. Based on SPLN No. 1: 1978, the maximum service
voltage is 5% and the minimum service voltage is 10% of the nominal voltage, which is
380/220 Volts. So if there is a voltage drop, it must be repaired immediately. As in
Jatisura, Cikedung Village, the working area of PT PLN UP3 Indramayu, the distribution
of electricity at that location experienced a voltage drop due to the low voltage network of
the JSCI substation 3 which was too long, namely 791 meters with a fairly high load.
Therefore, it is necessary to repair the load breaking method with an insert substation.
This method is carried out by transferring the entire load of the 3rd major JSCI substation
to the insertion substation. The magnitude of the voltage drop at the JSCI substation at the
end pole of the 3rd direction is measured at 194 Volts R phase, 185 Volts S phase, 197
Volts T phase It is planned that an insert substation equipped with 2 directions will be
built in the middle of the 3-way network of JSCI substations in order to be able to divide
the distance to get optimal results. As a result of these improvements, the voltage
received by the customer is 215 Volts in the R phase, 215 Volts in the S phase, and 216
Volts in the T phase. Meanwhile, before the repair, the voltage received by the customer
was 194 Volt R phase, 185 Volt S phase, and 197 Volt T phase.
