Abstract :
In this research of Solar Power Plant planning will be made by utilizing the roof of Office
Buildings because it is in accordance with ESDM ministerial regulation No.49 of 2018 regulating
basic matters to encourage the acceleration of solar energy development, especially rooftop solar
(solar panels), in Indonesia. Planning os Solar Power Plant at the school intend as a learning
medium for students and can save electricit cost. Solar energy is a renewable energy source that
is abundantly available in Indonesia. One way to use solar energy is to convert it to electrical
energy using photovoltaic modules or solar modules called solar power plants (PLTS). In this
study using a technical and economical analysis method to plan the PLTS system as a source of
electrical energy in school buildings. The PLTS is designed to supply electricity supply with an
estimated daily energy demand of around 39,808 kWh. In PLTS Off-Grid planning, a land area of
30 m
2
and the area of the tour is 47 x 37 = 1.665 m2 , is needed with 15 solar panels arranged in
4 series and 7 parallels. The components needed in this plan are, 12 batteries and 1 inverter with
an annual power output of 15.687,7 kWh / year. Performance Ratio (PR) in the PLTS system as a
reference that this system is feasible to realize with a PR value of 85% with starting investation of
IDR 677.000.000 which includes the costs for the PLTS system components and installation.
