Abstract :
The need for electrical energy in Indonesia is increasing every year. With this situation,
it will cause scarcity and limitations on electrical energy. Therefore, the use of renewable
energy needs to be increased. One of the renewable energy whose development is quite
rapid is the Solar Power Plant which is a generating sistem derived from solar photon
energy which is converted into electrical energy. Solar panels used in solar power plants
must be monitored so that their performance can be analyzed. Therefore, in this study, a
tool was made to monitor solar power plants in the form of a data logger. The components
used are ESP32, PZEM-003, and DS18B20 temperature sensor. The ESP32 functions as
a microcontroller, PZEM-003 functions as a sensor that measures voltage and current,
and the DS18B20 temperature sensor functions as a temperature sensor. This study will
compare the accuracy level of the data logger with conventional measuring instruments.
To measure voltage and current using a multimeter SANWA DMM RD701 and for
temperature using Thermo Gun type HG01. After conducting a comparison of the
obtained data is calculated using the relative error formula. For voltage relatif faults of
0.16%, for currents of 4% and for temperatures of 0.61%. From the data that has been
obtained, the data logger can be said to be accurate.
