Abstract :
In the distribution of electric power transmission, many problems are
encountered. Disturbances that commonly occur in electric power transmission systems
are influenced by various factors, one of the factors causing disturbances in SUTET 500
kV can come from insulators. Damage to the insulator can occur due to lightning strikes
that cause the insulator to be electrically damaged. An insulator struck by lightning, the
surface of which will be deformed, looks like a remnant of a fire jump, but an electrically
damaged insulator will look like a normal insulator. Determination of the condition of
the insulator is carried out to find an insulator that has decreased its insulation ability in
voltage and to determine how to determine the reference value of an insulator test, and
then provide a solution from the results of the analysis. The method used is puncture test
insulator. Based on the analysis of the survey results, obtained a total of 4 pieces of
damaged insulators, 3 pieces on the conductor Cibinong-Tambun 1 Phase outer T String
and 1 piece on the conductor Cibinong-Tambun 2 Phase outer T String.
