Abstract :
This research is motivated by no electrical device that is 100% efficient, so power
reduction is unavoidable, but care must be taken to determine whether the losses that
occur are acceptable. If the shrinkage limit is within an unacceptable threshold, measures
must be taken to limit the shrinkage that occurs in the electrical system. From this
background, this study aims to analyze the voltage drop and energy loss in the low voltage
network at the 620.EM distribution substation. In this study using the method of data
collection and calculation of conditions before balancing loads and after balancing loads.
After calculating, the results of the imbalance of the 620.EM substation before balancing
the load on majors 1 are 43% and on majors 2 are 69% and after load equalization on
majors 1 is 7% and on majors 2 is 4%. And also obtained the difference in energy losses
after balancing the load during the day of 2,159kWh and at night of 8,966kWh which
then makes the profit for PLN which can be converted into Rp. 87,594/month during the
day and Rp. 363,660/month at night
