Abstract :
Ovarian cancer is one of the gynecological cancers that ranks third highest after
cervical cancer and uterine cancer . In 2018, the incidence of ovaries reached 295,414
with the death rate reaching 184,799 in the world. In the early stages of ovarian cancer,
it only affects the ovaries themselves after the next stage, ovarian cancer will also affect
surrounding organs such as the uterus, liver, kidneys and lungs. One way to find out the
shape of the uterus of ovarian cancer patients is with a CT scan, this is the purpose of the
researcher in conducting this study which implements the Threshold Value method
against the system created, which aims to find out the shape of the uterus of ovarian
cancer patients With ovarian cancer Threshold Value itself is one of the image
segmentation methods that separates objects from the background in an image based on
the difference in the level of brightness or dark light. Image regions that tend to be darker
will be made darker (perfect black with an intensity value of 0), while image regions that
tend to be brighter will be made brighter (perfect white with an intensity value of 1). The
result of segmentation accuracy of the Threshold Value method is then calculated using
the Mean Square Error (MSE) with an accuracy result of 75%.
