Abstract :
Ombilin Steam Powered Power Plant consists of 2 Generators unit with total capacity of 200MW.Based on the design, condenser unit 2 of the Ombilin power plant. It has different vacuum pressure variations 676,24 mmHg, 680,72 mmHg and 682,72 mmHg. The condenser vacuum pressure will see the effect of the condenser vacuum pressure on the performance of the power plant. This research includes calculations of turbine work, pump work, heat in the boiler and the efficiency of the power plant. The results obtained at the condenser vacuum pressure that the condenser vacuum pressure is 680.72 mmHg which has a good power plant efficiency value, amounting to 37.67%. Whereas the vacuum pressure of 682.72 mmHg had a power plant efficiency value of 37.41%, differing 0.26% from the condenser vacuum pressure of 680.72 mmHg. The level of vacuum condenser affects the high or low efficiency of the condenser At a load of 100 MW the power plant efficiency is obtained at 38,15% because 1 kwh of electricity generated requires 860,421 kcal of fuel. So the greater the load of 100 MW the greater the efficiency obtained because the fuel used is lower
