Abstract :
Public Street Lighting (PJU) is an infrastructure that supports the comfort and safety of public road users, especially at night and places that require lighting. Along with the times, technology in the industrial world is also experiencing rapid development. One of these applications is in the Public Street Lighting lamp. Public Street Lighting is smart lighting and moreover for now there is a Smart System in PJU which is designed to increase energy efficiency by adjusting light intensity. Smart Systems are made to facilitate human work to carry out supervision and require information efficiently, not only that but also as a monitoring system and control system. PJU lights on the street have been made with a Smart System in order to make it easier for humans to carry out supervision and maintenance. Therefore, there is no need to go directly to the field if there is a disturbance or damage. This Smart System is like IoT (Internet of Things) which is a certain concept that has the ability to transfer (send) data without any interaction from human to human or from human to computer. The way this works is to send a signal that is connected to the internet and connected to objects (PJU lights) so that these objects can be controlled or used with wireless devices. The IoT method used can find out all the information contained in PJU lights such as damage, repair, installation of new PJU lights, light control (dimmer), when the lights will turn on and off (setting time with real time). This Smart System Public Street Lighting also uses LoRa (Long Range) technology and is proprietary, with a code or password from a closed source and only owned by a certain company or city government.
