Abstract :
This study aims to analyze the loading and its effect on neutral currents and losses. Data obtained from PT. PLN (Persero) ULP AMURANG, especially at the MUT 04 S17 substation, which is overloaded. The method used is to compare the results of calculations on the conditions before and after the equalization of the load. It can be concluded that the greater the loading on each phase (R,S,T) and the current flowing in the neutral conductor of the transformer so that the losses (losses) in the transformer. In accordance with the results of the calculation of the loading conditions before equalization of 92%, after equalization of 20%. So before equalization is said to be in bad condition or almost overloaded, after equalization is said to be in good condition according to SPLN No. 017 of 2014. The load imbalance before equalization is 5.3%, and after equalization is 3.6%. So before and after the equalization is done it is said that SPLN No. is in good condition. 017 of 2014. And the neutral current before equalization is 1.55%, after equalization is 0.17%, so before and after equalization it is said to be in good condition according to SPLN No. 017 of 2014. In this case, the loading of the transformer before equalization is said to be bad because it exceeds 80% of SPLN No. 017 of 2014. After equalization was carried out due to a burst of load, the loading of the transformer was almost overloaded, because the transformer was only 50kVA. so it was transferred to the nearest Gardu.
