Abstract :
Psychiatric disorder is a mental illness that causes changes in emotions, thoughts, and behaviors such as hallucinations and delusions. Mental disorders can strike at any age and anyone, data from the 2018 Basic Health Research (Riskesdas) shows that more than 19 million Indonesians over the age of 15 experience mental and emotional disorders, and more than 12 million Indonesians suffer from depression. Mental disorders have various types, one of which is Schizophrenia. Schizophrenia is a mental disorder that is chronic and dangerous. The results of basic health research found that the prevalence of people with schizophrenia in Indonesia was 1.8 per 1000 population. Problems that occur in people with schizophrenia have difficulty in consulting related to symptoms because they have to come directly to the hospital, or the nearest health center. Based on these problems and to prevent delays in the diagnosis and treatment of people with schizophrenia, we need a system that is able to identify schizophrenia based on existing symptoms so that it can be handled quickly and appropriately. An expert system is a system that is able to imitate the reasoning of an expert with certain expertise. However, in the process of diagnosis an expert will be faced with the problem of uncertainty of the information obtained, which can be calculated by several methods, one of which is the Certainty Factor method. The results of this study show that the functionality of the system is running well. In addition, the results of accuracy tests conducted by patients suffering from P03 disease (Paranoid Schizophrenia) with a CF value of 97.56 or a certainty level of 97.56%.
