Abstract :
Based on distribution transformer disturbance data at PT PLN (Persero) Lembata
Customer Service Unit in 2017 - 2022, PLN experienced 6 disturbances out of a total of
237 distribution transformers. Facing this disturbance, it is necessary to map which
aspects/what are the causes of the disturbance, so that it can be followed up immediately
to prevent losses. One of the causes of distribution transformer disturbance is at the point
of overload which is the benchmark. In this study the focus of the problem is on the loss
of life and the determination of the remaining life of the distribution transformer due to
overload. The study uses a quantitative methodology by processing existing primary
electricity data. The results of this study indicate that there are conditions of damage or
abnormalities in distribution transformers as a means of distributing electricity owned by
PLN which has a significant impact on the kWh sold by PLN. So that a serious
improvement is needed by modeling the age loss of the distribution transformer. The
transformer substation LB009 with a peak loading of 20.19% obtained a daily loss of
4.85 hours, so that the remaining life is 8.36 years. The LB017 substation transformer
with a peak loading of 24.72% obtained a daily life loss of 5.93 hours, so that the
remaining life is 13.79 years. The transformer substation LB022 with a peak loading of
17.05% obtained a daily life loss of 4.09 hours, so that the remaining life is 10.1 years.
