Abstract :
The collection station is a place that contains equipment to direct, store, separate,
measure, and drain crude oil from surrounding wells to be sent to the main collection
station. In this process, the control system of SP Jati Asri has an integrated system
between the Process Control System and the Safety Instrumented System. Before the
system is applied, a simulation of the system design is required. This study aims to
determine the simulation results of the Process Control System and Safety Instrumented
System. The method used in this research is qualitative method. Control design data
collected will be processed with EcoStruxure Process Expert software. The results of the
Process Control System test include equipment such as monitoring, control valve, limit
switch control pump. The results of the Safety Instrumented System test show that there
is a safety transmitter and also an active shutdown valve. If the liquid and pressure level
parameters exceed the high-high and low-low setpoint limits, the shutdown valve will
close. The Process Control system and the Safety Instrumented system have become
integrated systems because the Process Control system regulates the Control Valve to
run the pump motor and monitors it while the Safety Instrumented system when the
parameter exceeds the setpoint limit will take over the decision on whether the control
system process can be continued or not a process. Emergency Shutdown is active when
the push button is pressed in the shutdown process and the shutdown unit is active due to
the detection of operating parameters exceeding the permissible limits.
