Abstract :
One of the contributors to air pollution that can pollute the environment is coal-fired
power plants, the PLTU includes PT Indonesia Power UJP PLTU West Java II PGU
Pelabuhan Ratu. This coal-fired PLTU produces waste ash from combustion which can
pollute the environment and needs to be processed before being disposed of. Electrostatic
Precipitator (ESP) is used to remove ash particles from flue gases before being released
into the atmosphere. Even though the ESP has high effectiveness, problems occur when
some ESPs are damaged or damaged so that the exhaust gas is above the threshold. This
research focuses on the configuration of voltage and current in the ESP rectifier
transformer to ensure optimal ESP performance at high load levels. From the simulation
results, 3 voltage configuration results are obtained with the same loading level with
different efficiencies. The minimum configuration with an average voltage of 32,625 kV
produces a strong field of 81,562 kV to get an efficiency of 86.67%. The maximum
configuration with an average voltage of 46.25 kV produces a strong field of 115.625 kV
to get an efficiency of 98.26%. And the optimum configuration is based on an efficiency
value that is close to the design but does not cause problems or can operate normally
continuously with an average voltage of 40.75 kV producing a strong field of 101.875 kV
and an efficiency of 95.69%.
