Abstract :
Based on its geographical location, Indonesia is a tropical country that only experiences two
seasons, namely the rainy season and the dry season. Based on this, the sun will shine
throughout the year even though during the rainy season the intensity of sunlight decreases.
Solar Power Plants whose energy only comes from solar radiation. Solar cells or also called
photovoltaic cells are the most important components used in Solar Power Plant. This
technology has the potential to be applied in Indonesia, which has a tropical climate, but the
main problem with this system is the resulting current instability. The Solar Power Plant
output current is very dependent on the intensity of solar radiation. Irradiation reception by
Solar Power Plant can be maximized by using the right angle of inclination when installing
it. In this study using a simple linear regression method and obtained a relationship between
irradiation and current with a correlation of R2 = 0.99642. From the correlation value it is
known that the relationship between irradiation and current is very strong and directly
proportional. To find out the accuracy of the method, the Root Mean Square Error was used
and the RMSE value was 0.0030701.
