Abstract :
The Ljungstrom tri sector Air Preheater is used by PLTU Banten 1 Suralaya unit 8 which utilizes a flue gas heat source by preheating. From the operating data it can be seen that the change of elements on the Hot end side of Overahaul activities with load variations of 60%, 80% and 100% of the effectiveness value. From the analysis carried out before the change of elements with a load of 60%, the Effectiveness value obtained was 0.611 after the change on the Hot end side to 0.642, whereas at 80% load before the change of elements the Effectiveness value of 0.640 was obtained after the death of the element on the Hot end side being 0.679, whereas at the load 100% before the change of elements obtained the value of Effectiveness of 0.689 after the change of elements on the Hot end to 0.716. While in terms of leakage (air leakage) has decreased in each load after changing elements on the Hot end and filtering on the gap seal. The higher the effectiveness, the better the preform water preheater will be to increase the thermal efficiency of the plant.
