Abstract :
As one of the largest fertilizer producing industries in Indonesia, PT Petrokimia Gresik continues to develop its products. The main products of PT, Petrokimia Gresik are fertilizers and chemicals. The performance of centrifugal pumps can be done by connecting the pump with a pipe so that the pumped fluid will experience a journey until it reaches the intended fluid reservoir, or in the form of circulation. The machine maintenance program is very important for the smooth production process. Data from the Maintenance Department III shows that the P-1002A / B pump is often damaged. This study aims to identify the factors causing damage to the P-1002A / B pump system and the P-1002A / B pump maintenance system is evaluated using the Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) method to reduce maintenance costs and increase engine reliability. Maintenance activit ies aim at the equipment having maximum performance and working optimally. The application of equipment maintenance that has been carried out is by redundant equipment. A factor that often causes damage during this time is due to dirty melter ponds, so that the pump performance becomes heavy. So far, maintenance costs are high due to always buying / replacing new components
