Abstract :
PLTGU Muara Karang is one of the plants that supply places with VVIP customers. Therefore, the reliability of the Muara Karang power plant system must be maintained. One of the important tools supporting the reliability of the Muara Karang PLTGU power system is a transformer. The function of the transformer is very vital, which functions to deliver electricity from high voltage to low voltage or vice versa. To determine the condition and maintain the reliability of the transformer can be done by testing the transformer oil with the Dissolved Gas Analysis (DGA) method. With the DGA method the oil is extracted and separated by the dissolved gas in it. The gas is analyzed using total dissolved combustible gas (TDCG) and gas key techniques. From the tdcg analysis, the condition of the GTG 1 transformer is in condition 2 with 806 ppm tdcg and 32.24 liters of TDCGv. Condition 2 indicates that individual gas has begun to increase and needs to be alerted. The transformer lock gas method indicated cellulose overheating because the dominant carbon monoxide gas content was 71,091% with a value of 573 ppm. For the translucent voltage value on the transfrormator, it gets 53.8 kV in this case the breakdown voltage condition is in good category when referring to IEC 156-60422 / 2005.
