Abstract :
Electrical power generation system has to be able to provide good quality of electricity, by maintaining constant frequency. Frequency must be maintained from its nominal, deviation from nominal value is caused by significantly high electricity load. So that there is a change in rotational speed on the generator shaft, it is necessary to have a speed droop characteristic to maintain the frequency value. So at the PLTGU Muara Tawar to maintain the rotation the governor is set according to characteristics related to specified speed droop value. It means that fuel supply must be cared to maintain the rotation of gas turbine. Governor will respond as the main regulator in fuel intake on the system to keep frequency within its tolerance limit, due to the need to maintain frequency within the limit the system has to be adjusted to the requirements.
