Abstract :
Electrical energy becomes a necessity in this modern era. Economic growth and globalization has increasingly rising electricity needs each year. The 1x9.9 MW Biomass Power Plant in Deli Serdang is planned to be operational in 2019. PLTBm Deli Serdang will be interconnected with the existing 20 kV system with several connecting point options. Selection of this option is important because to know which option can make the existing system still in normal condition. Option 1 is PLTBm in connecting to a nearest substation and option 2 is PLTBm connected to the nearest point of feeder. The conductor used in connection is AAAC 240 mm2 with two circuit configurations. The study was conducted on load flow , voltage drops, losses, and short circuit. Doing the study can be seen the status of system operation before and after interconnection. The operating status of this system includes normal, marginal, and critical. The study results show that option-2 is the best choice compared to option 1.
