Abstract :
Republic of Indonesia has a lot of oil field both on land and offshore, to supply electric power, oil company build its build own power station which is generally in the form of gas power plant, Some wells are grouped into one cluster, Oil wells use electrical submersible pump which pump oil from subsurface, to increase performance and economic value of oil well, electric submersible pump equipped by variable speed drive which control debit of flow by various motor speed, however variable speed drive is a source of harmonic.. harmonics that cause a decrease in the quality of electricity distribution and heating on equipment that is too hot, installation of the Passive LC Series Filter can reduce harmonics, so that production can still be optimized by using Variable Speed Drive, and harmonics against the use of Variable Speed Drive can be reduced using the LC series passive filter This paper will discuss about harmonic caused by using variable speed drive, and how to design LC Pasive Filter to current harmonic from 58,37 % to1,44% and voltage harmonic from 3,43% to 0,55%
