Abstract :
Reliability is the ability of the system or component to work according to the required function under certain conditions and within a specific time. This research discusses the reliability analysis of power transformers based on the value of the failure rate and the value of its destructive function. To maintain reliability, the origin of failure and failure rates and causes of physical damage should be analyzed and studied. Weibull distribution has been widely used as a mathematical method to determine failure rates, reliability and predict the remaining life of any equipment. With the calculation obtained MTTF value (mean time to failure) power transformer 4 GI Cengkareng PT. PLN is 3.8103 years, the annual rate of failure is 0.4027% and its value is 0.3614. The reliability value is said to be less reliable because far from the value of probability is very reliable which is worth 1. Therefore than need further tests to describe the condition of the transformer more specific. One of the tests is the tan ? test which is an electrical diagnostic method to determine the condition of the transformer isolation. The result of data testing were analyzed by comparing the tan ? value with ANSI C standard 57.12.90 and it was found that the isolation on the tertiary voltage side with the CTG + CHT testing mode was 2.15% and the CTG testing mode was 2.20%, more than the standard permitted more than 1% therefore isolation conditions need to be watched out in bad circumstances.
