Abstract :
In the distribution of electrical energy in the transmission network and can not be separated from the disturbance that can disrupt the process of electrical energy distribution either internal disturbance or interference from outside. For that required protection tools to protect it, One of the interference from outside which caused the failure of equipment in the transmission network is a lightning strike. The main protection against lightning strikes on transmission lines is the Lightning Arrester, which is where to analyze performance on a 150Kv transmission line. It is also necessary that ground electrode implements are required to improve the value of the grounding resistance whose good grounding resistance values are <1 ? in accordance with PUIL standard 2000.
