Abstract :
In Indonesia, one of the problems that still we often see until today that is the problem about the garbage. We know that the number of population in Indonesia especially Jakarta area, population growth is increasing. Handling the trash of course be a big challenge for indonesia. Lack of awareness of most people to be one of the causes of the government should give special attention in the problems of garbage handling in Jakarta. The waste transportation system that is done with a specific schedule cause of the likelihood of trash build-up without rapid handling. See the development of technology in the form of internet connectivity from a variety of electronic devices, then the application of the concept of IoT (Internet of Things) is expected to be a solution to the problems of waste management in the Capital. The Trash Smart is a term for the trash that has a feature with more functionality than the trash in general. The design of the system handling the waste problem is to use the Arduino UNO as data processing, sensor weight and sensor distance as a parameter the trash is full. The results from these sensors is then sent to the web server with the microcontroller Raspberry Pi, to be displayed on the Web. Useful to a janitor as a monitoring and notification to immediately handle trash that has the full. This research uses research methods and testing that is done is the blackbox test that focuses on the requirements fungsioanal hardware and software. The results of this research is a system of Trash Smart-based Raspberry Pi. The advantages of this system that will send information in the form of information the condition of trash and heavy trash so it can be tracked and dealt with immediately.
