Abstract :
Indonesia is one tropical country, where there are only two seasons, namely the rainy season and summer. as a tropical country has enormous solar energy potential with an average daily insolation of 4.55 kWh / m2. PLTS is a power plant system that converts solar energy into electrical energy. The use of PLTS in KRL is designed to supply additional power requirements designed off grid. The loads to be supplied in one carriage counters are 24 TL 24 watts lamps, one AC 3 kW and 5 100 Watt fans. Therefore the system will use the battery because the solar power plant only supplies electricity during the day. The area of 39 m2 will be used so that modules can be used as many as 24 modules with 260 Wp, 300 Ah battery as much as 24 units, 5 kW inverter and 1 unit solar charge controller. For the cost of installing a solar power plant is Rp. Rp. 512.243.561.
