Abstract :
In the electric power system, especially on the voltage side of 20 kV, is the network that distribute power from the substation to the consumer. But when operation it works, it often happens disorders such as short circuit, lightning strikes, and so on. The magnitude of the short circuit fault current which may occur in the power system need to be aware for planning protection equipment. One of the tools of protection of the electrical network is a power breaker (circuit breaker) which serves to open and close the electrical circuit in all conditions, including disorders of the short-circuit current. The determination of the capacity of the power breaker on the voltage side of 20 kV can be determined by calculating the value of the short circuit current gain. From the results of the calculation of a large short-circuit current for the interference on the busbar 20 kV is 18,57655 kA, at Substation BT 1 is 9,75895 kA, at Substation BT 2 is 7,07860 kA, at the end of feeders (GH 422) 3,87834 kA and at Substation BT 3 (the source flows through the feeders express) is 3,56340 kA.
