Abstract :
There are many factors that can cause an incoming transformer of 20 kV becomes trip. Based on the observation of 20 KV incoming transformer in Jakarta during 2014, from 54 cases of trip 20KV transformers, 17% cases were caused by flashover. When a trip occurs, it may distrupt the power supply system, cause blackouts. When disturbance occurs, the circuit breaker on the troubled feeder does not trip. Instead, the trip will happen on the incoming transformer which will then caused all the repeater supplied from the transformer will be tripped.
