Abstract :
The quality and reliability of the distribution of Electric power is a matter of great concern. In fact, the distribution process has problems that can affect channeling operations and even result in failure of distribution. Therefore, the distribution of electricity is equipped with a protection system. Where in SUTT 150 kV distance relays are used as the main safety. On April 4, 2015 there was a widespread blackout on Ciledug Substation, GIS Alam Sutera, Cikupa Substation. The purpose of this research is to find the cause of blackouts and provide solutions to the problems.The method used in solving the problem is quantitative - qualitative method, because in addition to using calculations with the rules of distance relaying, the author also uses the Digsilent software program. After scanning, it shows that there is overlapping in Zone 3 of GIS Kembangan and Zone 3 of Ciledug Substation.After the calculation was done, the new relay settings were obtained: GIS Kembangan: Zona -1 = 1.394 ?; Zone - 2 = 2.252 ?; Zone - 3 = 3.7 ?, and in Ciledug Substation Zone-1 = 1.073 ?, Zone-2 = 4.676 ?, Zone-3 = 8.366 ?. Then repeated scanning of the paths that experienced the salt did not overlap again. So that the coordination of the GIS Kembangan route distance, Ciledug Substation, GIS Alam Sutera, Cikupa Substation is good.
