Abstract :
PLTGU is a thermal generating unit that use fuel gas and prcduction rale is number 2 after coal firN Wwer plant (in Java-Bali-Madura interconnection system). The five year power plant development tendency to be used is the development of coal fired steam power plant and gas frred power plant PLTGU. One of the advanfages af PLTGU is that it has a ,esponse to frequency faster than PLTU. The modes apentiry uM ta respnd ta frequency chargr*s are load limit, free govemar and load frequenay contrcl. ln this fhesrs will be dr.scussed how the response control sysfem PLTGU Muara Tawar Black 5 if case fo frequency changes requirc additional active Wwer MW. This rcsponse includes fhe n*sponse of the PLTG eontrcl system and the PLTU cantral system, showed by setting speed drcop, nmping mte and frequency deadband that is 5%.
