Abstract :
Based on the Regulation of the Minister of Environment No. 30 Year 2009, the ashes produced by the combustion process from the boiler are categorized as Hazardous and Toxic Substances. Electrostatic Precipitator can precipitate the ash so as not to pollute the environment. In order to work well, keep in mind the distance between Collecting Plate with Emitting Wire to avoid sparking and plate bending. This thesis discusses the standardization of operating voltages and spacing of the Electrostatic Precipitator. From the calculation analysis is known that the operating voltage of 55kV and 12 cm spacing will produce a strong corona field of 27kV which is a coronal productive field so that the Electrostatic Precipitator can work optimally. The distance should not be ? 4 cm in order to avoid sparking. In order to secure a safe distance can be added chain between Collecting Plate and Emitting Wire or can use high level protection that has self cleaning.
