Abstract :
PT. Pertamina RU IV Cilacap is the largest refinery processing unit owned by PT. Pertamina. To meet the electricity needs that support refinery production activities, PT. Pertamina RU IV Cilacap operates a power plant with eight generators where four have a capacity of 24 MW and four other generators are 80 MW. In the electric power system, short circuit problems often occur. At Pertamina RU IV Cilacap there are often some disturbances, including short circuit disturbances, especially in substations in the oil refinery area. The occurrence of interference on the substation is due damage to the cable insulation, damage to the insulation of the winding motor, components that are dirty or not suitable for use and loose termination. In the analysis of short circuit disturbance at pertamina RU IV cilacap using ETAP 12.6 program and manual calculation obtained the value of the largest current disturbance is 38,29736 kA and the smallest is 0,397 kA. Based on the analysis of the short circuit disturbance at Pertamina RU IV Cilacap, the result shows that the CB rating of 65 kA can still withstand the largest current of interference..
