Abstract :
PLTU (steam power plant) uses coal as its fuel. PLTU is used to supply electrical load to customers, both offices, factories and vital loads such as hospitals and state agencies, so the power plant must be in optimal condition. To support the performance of the steam power plant requires a reliable system of host load. One of the benchmarks of self-use system controls is the installed tranformator capacity as well as the emergency diesel generator used for back-up units in case of disruption or trip. The efficiency amount of PLTU host load ranges from 3-10%. For its efficiency host load at the place of research that is PT. Lestari Banten Energy is 4.2% for generator output and 4.4% for main output transformer. With magnitude of transformer UAT 1 = 60 MVA and UAT 2 = 25 MVA, for emergency diesel capacity 1200 kW.
