Abstract :
Bengkulu Province has a total oil palm area of 340.717 ha and can produce 25.444,8 tons of fresh fruit bunches every day. Of the total fresh fruit bunches, on average, 5.343 tons of empty oil palm bunches are produced every day, because the amount of waste is very large, it will be planned to build a 6 MW biomass power plant. This thesis discusses the feasibility study of operations and the financial feasibility of the 6 MW mukomuko biomass power plant project. From the results of the study, it was found that the mukomuko biomass power plant needed 6.120 Kg / hour of oil palm empty fruit bunches and 403.2 Kg / hour of coal to generate 6 MW of power. Coal is used as a temperature stabilizer in the boiler as much as 15% of the total fuel used. The results of the voltage drop are 1.34% and the network shrinkage is 1.1%. For financial studies obtained the results of the Net Present Value (NPV) 79.716.931.986 with the value of Internal Rate Return (IRR) 29,10% and benefit Cost Ratio (BCR) 1,62 and the length of return stated the Pay Back Period (PBP) for 5 years 5 months.
