Abstract :
Along with the increament growth of load at Gumawang Main Substation, it is necessary to upgrade the power transformers from the original 30 MVA capacity to 60 MVA capacity to maintain the quality of continuity of power distribution to consumers through available feeders. Along with the uprating activities, there was an anomaly in the overcurrent relay (OCR) that required the relay to be replaced. For that reason, this thesis will examine the new OCR relay adjustment to suit the new transformer capacity of 60 MVA.. The results of this study indicate that the calculation of the OCR relay when the power transformer is used with a capacity of 60 MVA, does not differ too much from the former 30 MVA transformer, so the OCR relay that experiences this anomaly can be replaced without having to change its initial settings.
