Abstract :
In the medium voltage distribution network, there are feeders to supply and distribute the electrical power from substation to distribution substation, where these feeders can be in the form of overhead lines or ground cable wire conducting electrical power to distribution substation then customers. Feeder failure will be highly distribute the continuity of power feeding to the customers due the long time spent for recovery. In this thesis, the writer will try to discuss Lurik Feeder failure to then analyze the cause of the failure by using FMEA (failure modes and effects analysis) method. This research is using qualitative, observation, and literature review methods. Then, this feeder failure needs to be explored further to find failure that is causing power interruption that will be distributed to the customers. This research finds that the failure is caused by improper design or bad quality materials.
