Abstract :

In Indonesia solar energy has a good potential (1400- 2200 kWh/m2/year), in the other hand solar energy utilization is only 77.02 MW. One of this good potency lies on the land of PLTP Patuha in South Bandung, West Java. Solar energy that is generated by the radiation of the sun in that area is estimated to reach 5.3 kWh/m2 in capacity. Furthermore, solar technology is also flexible, which means it has convenience in its installation, operation and maintenance. This thesis talks about the potency of development of solar energy on the land of PLTP Unit 1 Patuha that has not been optimized. With utilizing the potency of energy in the area with the Indonesian government policy Number 79 in the year of 2014 about National Energy Policy, Mandated that in the year of 2025 portion of new and renewable energy in the percentage of 23 %, oil 25 %, coal 30 %, and gas 22 %. Solar energy is able to support PLTP Unit 1 Patuha to supply electricity to office buildings, warehouses, and CCTVs. As for the moment, generation office buildings is without back up emergency energy for offices that when in the time of periodical maintenance such as annual inspection, the offices will not be supplied during the inspection, owing to that, these offices use Diesel Generator Set. To conclude it is necessary to study the compatible development of Solar Power Plant to support private consumption for distribution to office buildings
