Abstract :
Solar power plant is an environmentally friendly renewable energy, Unfortunately in order to generate Big enough electrical energy it would require huge space for the placement of solar panels. For a big city, for instance Jakarta, acquiring huge space would be a difficult task due to it?s density. Therefore, the area typically used for development of Solar Power is the rooftop of a building. The buildings in Jakarta commonly have more than ten floors. With that façade area, although the radiation absorbed is less than rooftop, the electricity generated by Solar Power Plant is higher compared to rooftop because the area of façade that is able to be utilized for solar panel placement is bigger than rooftop. The solar panels installed on the façade are semi-tansparent panel that provide two functions i.e to produce electricity as well as as glass that allow sun to penetrate the building and allow people to look at the scenery outside without reducing aesthetic of the building.
